Thomas Kammeier

The master chef did an apprenticeship as a baker and trained as a chef. Thomas Kammeier began his career at the Rotisserie in Worms. After stops in Hamburg and Düsseldorf, in 1997 he came to the Hotel InterContinental in Berlin. The Guide Michelin awarded his culinary arts at Hugos one star. He has been the head of gastronomy at EUREF-Campus since mid-2015.

He supports and develops the varied gastronomy offerings at EUREF-Campus, including „Café im Wasserturm“, „Werkstatt“ and „Grüns“. “Grüns” is the newest restaurant at EUREF-Campus and provides an excellent complement to the offerings to date – Italian, Asian, German cuisine – with vegan/vegetarian dishes.

Thomas Kammeier has a preference for fish, but his range includes burgers, completely traditional with meat or vegetarian, cold soups in summer and salads. The ingredients are of course from the region. Most of the beverages are sold in bottles to avoid creating plastic waste and to save the water that would be needed to wash glasses.
